Has anyone seen my specialty plates?

Does anybody here drive a Challenger? I like the look of the really decked out Hellcat and Demon versions but not the plain Jane ones. It has been quite a while since I had a real muscle car and I really like the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. I haven’t driven one yet but I love the way they look and they have one in purple with black stripes. Maybe it is the high schooler mentality that still exists in my mind but I am really intrigued by it. Does anyone here own one? I’m leary because it’s pricey and, at the end of the day, it is still a Dodge.
Thoughts??

The Hellcat's are badarse. My brother had an SRT-8 Challenger when they came out, and that thing was fun as hell to drive/ride. One of our buddy's has the purple Hellcat and loves it, although he hadn't had much experience with a standard transmission before that car, so it's taken him some practice. Ha.

Do it!

You answered your own question with the key fact.

Edit: If you want to spend some semi-big bucks on fast and flashy set of wheels, check out the new BMW Z4. It looks mean and fast sitting still.

I know you're partial to those types of cars, and they're fantastic, but it sounds like Doc has a bit of nostalgia, like myself, for some American muscle (cars). There's just something about a big V8 (engine) that does it for me, especially that ridiculous supercharged 700 HP Hellcat.

I don't know anyone with one personally, but in my observation everyone I've ever seen who has one of those drives like a dick. So I guess the question should really be, do you drive like a dick, doc?

If so, we found the one for you.
I have before, but generally a safe driver. But I am sure that kind of car would bring out the worst in me.

I think it might be my next car. I will be looking out for just the right one that is the right price and color. I love the stick shift, so that would be my preference.

I owned a MOPAR vehicle in the 70's. A total lemon.

Nostalgic, no. Nauseous, yes.

My older brother had a 72 Challenger that was a rocket ship (for that time) that was perfect inside and out. He also had a 71 that was faster but in poor cosmetic condition. He would race the 71 on a county airstrip on Saturday nights until the police showed up. Guess which one of the two he crashed?

He also had a 73 charger with a Hemi after the two challengers. Traded it for a case of Stroh’s and a Chrysler Córdoba when he got married. Bad trade.

I’m a big fan of Mopar from the 70’s. I have no idea how well they are made now.

So I’m of no help. Wordy. Anecdotal. But essentially useless.
I grew up playing soccer next to the Stroh's brewery in Longview back in the 80s and 90s. Most of the time the smell was unbearable and there we were running around for 90 minutes sucking in the fumes. Never could stand Stroh's, but by the time I was old enough to try one it was brewed at the Miller plant in FW.

It was a big player up north. Everybody loved the Stroh’s 30 pack. It was terrible.

My BiL got one a year or so ago. He's already looking to get out of it. He loves driving it, but he's a country boy who had his fun with it and is ready for another big, nwla'd out 4 wheel drive truck. Not sure if that helps or hurts, but it's my only experience with one.

For a similar price you could get the 2020 Vet, which would be a much more refined car... and it wouldn't be a dodge.
