Some dork just started a thread over there stating Baylor should have hired GP in 2007. These responses will be fun.

"The impact of the Briles disaster may not be known until 2025. That's when conferences decide their futures.

Looking back on Rhule's first year, it is scary to think about the future.

If Gary Patterson would've been hired in 2007, Baylor should be sitting pretty right now.

Would the rape allegations have happened with Patterson at the helm? Doubtful.

Patterson was the hire to make in '07. Without question.

Without Patterson, TCU would still be in the Mountain West Conference... and our likely competitor for a landing spot if armageddon happens in 2025 would be safely out of the picture.

No matter how you feel about Fatterson, Baylor should've paid that man handsomely in 2007 because any money saved was a drop in the bucket to the payoff that BU PAID Briles to retire.

His resume and Texas ties should have made him the ONLY hire we shoulda settled for back then. No one can tell the future but, man, it's painful to to realize what not making that one move will cost BU."

My bet would be that Baylor reached out to Gary's agent in some way and that BU was abruptly turned down.. By 2007, he was turning down (or soon would turn down) his alma mater, Arkansas and even better programs.. He didn't end up in Waco for good reason..

While I agree with the Baylor guy that Gary would have been a superb hire and that we would have remained in the MWC, he misses the huge point that Gary was turning down the likes of his alma mater and Arkansas and even better programs during this time frame and wasn't about to leave TCU for Baylor, not then, not now and not in the future.. I bet that if BU reached out to Gary's agent , they were abruptly turned away..

If Texas=Journalists who went to Texas, then the whole thing can be summed up just as MTFrog5 said. Plus this whole "wanting Art to be hired for his wellbeing" trash.
Guess he forgot he expected that DE to be ready to play a couple weeks before charges were brought against him. scheiss him if he talked about Art’s well-being. He knows he can say whatever he wants because the University will never allow what actually happened to come out. If Baylor fans want to blame someone it should be him for his trash defense costing them a couple wins every season.

Hate to say it but I think I hate Texas more than Baylor.

Rhule is actually pleasant to watch speak. Tom Herman has a very punchable face, cant stand just looking at him.

That being said, barring any major injuries, I think Baylor will do better than Texas this season.
