Have to give credit to coaches recruiting great players with all the noise going on right now.
Proof that what we see/care about and what recruits see/care about often aren’t the same thing. And I guess they probably shouldn’t be to he honest.Have to give credit to coaches recruiting great players with all the noise going on right now.
Was more referring to what type of talent he has and how we will use him.
Your emoji confuses me.Sam Jackson at QB
Gray was fast but Everhart is borderline elite speed. Fastest junior in Texas last spring and 5th in the nation.
Obviously his speed has made life easier for him and he will need to make some adjustments as he hits the next level but that speed will still tough to deal with for opponents. Gray would do whatever it took to get on the field and may have hurt him in the long run. It appears Everhart is of similar mindset so it will be up to the coaches and hopefully they don't move him around on both sides of the ball as they did with Gray.
He should see early PT.
We got to pick it up on the OL front or this is going to have to be a Fast Break offense to move the chainsSam Jackson at QB

We are also still targeting Barion Brown and LeVeon Moss.
He won’t be here in the spring. He wants to run his track season. Also wants to run track at TCU.was told that everhart is going to run this spring for tascosa so it will be interesting to see if he can lower his times from last year
that does mean he won't be here in the spring and start to make that transition from tascosa's double slot to the frogs offense. will be very interesting to see how he makes the adjustment to running routes and getting jammed off the line
We won’t take a step forward (sorry Gary) until we start getting better on the OL and DL and honestly not sure if there are enough of those guys around after the Clemsons and Bamas and OSUs of the world get the blue chips. I posted somewhere on the other board that a high level coach said USC can’t compete anymore because Helton refused to cheat and that’s the only way you’re gonna get those monsters on the OL and DL. Maybe NIL will give us a fighting chance
I don’t care if we ever compete with Bama and Clemson but we damn sure need to be more competitive in the Big 12.We won’t take a step forward (sorry Gary) until we start getting better on the OL and DL and honestly not sure if there are enough of those guys around after the Clemsons and Bamas and OSUs of the world get the blue chips. This is a program that only took 1 OL in 2020 and now has only 2 currently committed. We will lose 3 from the 2 deep after the season. Given that we have a lot of extremely unproven young OL we should be taking a lot of temps in the Portal. It would also be nice if we could find another OT that’s ready to starthoping the frogs are going to go REALLY hard in the transfer market for interior offensive linemen because their potential returning interior line on paper is pretty thin, very inexperienced, and scary in a bad way unless some things change over the next 8+ games

I don’t think Phillip Epps or James Maness ran 10.38 and 21.2 as juniors in high school. This kid has legitimate track speed. Epps and fellow East Texan Darrel Green were the 2 finalists in the NFL’s fastest man the 1st year they had that tournament.was told that everhart is going to run this spring for tascosa so it will be interesting to see if he can lower his times from last year

not trying to be funny, but epps might have been running 100 yards back in his day. can't remember when texas made the switch from yards to meters. fastest running back since roscoe
the speed is legit no doubt and part of me is curious if he can push that time down further. he is in that range where it is similar to being a single digit handicap in golf. really, really tough trimming down anymore from this point.
as impressive as the 10.38 was at the amarillo meet, i really liked the time he ran at the regional meet (10.44) to qualify for state. no room for error, legit timing system, and wind was under 2 mph. think he went sub 10.5 4-5 times
the only concern i have about everhart running track next spring is his cutting weight instead of working to gain weight. not sure if he is one, but have seen a few who would drop 10-12 lbs in track season .
either way he has great potential and i think he is every bit as big a pick up for the frogs if not more so than the kid from spearman for texas
