And Patterson cant be so aggressive on schemes if he does not want to give up the occasional strike. He does not have an OC who can keep then in games.

So are you implying that he’s okay with giving up QB runs and wheel routes? Because that hasn’t changed in a decade or so.

Why? Nothing has changed. I’m a little shocked that Cumbie refuses to change. And shocked that Patterson refuses to fire him. I feel pretty confident any poster on here could call plays and gain 73 yards in the half. Delton has completed 3 passes for -1 yard. Embarrassing. What a waste of money!!! This staff needs a big overhaul. Read into that as you want. I’m ready for change.

Our success as a program has relied for 2 decades on being better coached than the opponent. That’s increasingly not the case anymore and it MUST change ASAP.

Purdy is very good, and he gets the ball out quickly and has receivers with decent separation to throw to.

Our receivers (yes we have some injuries) but on too many plays don’t get separation, and we end up throwing late into coverage.

And our star receiver is often doubled, so why so few open options? Aren’t we supposed to have lots of fast receivers?

We have a new receivers coach. [ What the heck? ] is the deal?

This seems like a huge coaching issue.

I probably couldn’t. But I do know who our best player is so I could probably hand it to DA 25+ times. And I’d put in Collins. On second thought maybe I could.
