X-Rays negative. Sprained AC joint. 2-4 weeks recovery. No sling because it can cause me to suffer atrophy. Just have to suck it up and take some super strength anti-inflammatory and Tylenol codeine and not do anything strenuous with my upper body. If I don't begin to improve within a week then I go to a shoulder specialist.
Once the inflammation goes down it should start to feel better. How many pulling exercises do you do in relation to pushing exercises? If your front delts get too strong in relation to the rear (or the other way around) the imbalance can cause problems. Throwing in some rear delt exercises like face pulls and seated dumbell cleans can keep everything in balance. I also like to do a bit of shoulder and hip mobility work at the start of my lifting workouts as a warm up and prehab.

Been sitting on a plane for over two hours at DFW trying to get to LA. Pilot told us it was a brand new plane - only the third revenue flight. Then he told us that it's leaking hydraulic fluid. No estimate of when we depart. And I have to just sit here on plane instead of having a drink in the terminal.

I have a cool whiskey and cigar thing tonight - good chance I won't make it. Darning American.

Once the inflammation goes down it should start to feel better. How many pulling exercises do you do in relation to pushing exercises? I do 3 or 4 sets of 6 @ max weight on everything that I can successfully and safely get with good form. (Apparently I darned something up though)

Day 1 - Back/Biceps -
I do pull downs behind the neck, pull downs to the chest, seated cable rows, farmer's carry, shrugs, db rows, and sometimes bb rows on my back/bicep day... The rest of the exercises for that day are all variations of curls.

Day 2 - The next day I do legs

Day 3 - Chest/Shoulders/Tri's - flat, incline and decline bench presses, flat and incline DB flyes, DB shoulder press, tricep push downs with a rope and T-bar tricep push downs and dips. Would switching to cable flyes be better for me than DB flyes.

Rest Day

If your front delts get too strong in relation to the rear (or the other way around) the imbalance can cause problems. Makes sense. Throwing in some rear delt exercises like face pulls and seated dumbell cleans can keep everything in balance. I'll have to check those out. I also like to do a bit of shoulder and hip mobility work at the start of my lifting workouts as a warm up and prehab. I stretch religiously, but I don't warm up with lighter weight before jumping into my exercise. I need to do that from now on.

Thank you for the input. Any advice is appreciated. My reply is in red.

Maybe it's just that I'm an Air Crash Investigation buff, but I'll be damned if I'm staying on a plane shedding hydrolic fluid. See United 232...

Our government is the worst. Republicans and Democrats alike think its their responsibility to hold these businesses accountable, but it's not. It seems pretty clear the marketplace and court system did a pretty compelling job of that in the wake of the United fiasco and it happened much faster than the general government can act.

Darn the airlines and darn the government. And darn Baylor too while we're darning everything else.
