And the season is over. Must retain Parra and bring in a couple of hitters, a middle, and 2-3 defensive specialists to improve passing. Gotta think the freshman setter will get better and better.

All in all…given the challenges this squad faced and the forced late season change in the offense, pretty good.

So close and yet so far away. Definitely agree with your evaluation of needs for next year. Pivotal off season coming up.

High level VB being played in Tampa Bay. Nebraska beats up Pitt 3-0 and UT battling Wiscy. Tied 1-1 with Horns up 13-3 in S3.

Horns destroy Badgers in S3 25-13. Excellent libero play and first touches into system pretty much all set. Envious of that. Not sure Texas can play much better than what just happened and may not need to in order to reach finals.

I've actually watched a lot of Wisconsin volleyball this year and they are VERY good.

I was surprised and impressed by how Texas destroyed them last night. Should be a heck of a final.

Texas wins S1 over Nebraska in a wild one. Horns had the lead and momentum and broke down in composure with the officiating and got shown a yellow and red card which brought Nebraska back in it at 22’s. Then UT managed to close it out but what a strange ride. So far Nebraska has no answer for Skinner who’s actually hitting over triple blocks. As for the officiating controversy it appeared to be about a rotation violation and TX may have been right…tough to tell.

Texas down 10-7 in S2 and wins the set 25-14. To sum it up — Texas served them right out of the building. Total collapse by the Nebraska back row. Actually 2/3 collapse by the back row because Texas keeping the first touch away from the NE libero. A veritable clinic in pushing a team out of its system. Am wondering if that was the contention in S1 that NE went out of rotation to avoid being exploited. Not sure and not going back to see. But Horns 1 set away from back-to-back championships. This one would be far more impressive than last year’s purchased trophy
IMO.

Texas just destroying Nebraska. Up 21-11 in S3. This Nebraska squad is 33-1. And this is the Texas squad that the Frogs took to 5 sets and very likely should have beaten them in four sets. And the same Texas squad that faced a match point (season ending match point) against Tennessee last weekend. Peaking at the most opportune time.

Texas just beat NE 25-11 in S3 for the sweep. Crazy. Complete destruction of the Huskers and no need for an extra second on the clock.
