Tulsa World: First-place OSU is 5-1 and ranked 15th, but wobbly at midway mark

There are 125 teams competing at the Football Bowl Subdivision level of college football, and only seven — Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida State, Baylor, Marshall, Notre Dame and Oklahoma State — have a current streak of as many as five victories.
The Cowboys are one of 24 teams with a six-game record of no worse than 5-1, and this is where most reasonable OSU fans expected their team to be — with a 5-1 mark at the midway point in the season.
Really, though, has there ever been a more wobbly 5-1, 15th-ranked team in OSU history?
If the Cowboy offense was unable to flourish against Iowa State and Kansas, how might it fare at Kansas State (15th nationally in total defense), against Texas (17th), at Baylor (10th) and in Norman against Oklahoma? ...
