Frogs Add Brown to Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

Arlington native has spent last 12 seasons on DFW coaching scene

FORT WORTH—The TCU men’s basketball program has added Reggie Brown as an assistant coach, Head Coach Jim Christian announced Thursday. Brown spent the last two seasons in a similar role at SMU.

Brown will fill one of the vacancies created by the departures of former Horned Frog assistants Eric Haut and Armon Gates, who accepted positions at Kent State and Loyola Chicago, respectively.

“We are excited to have Reggie join our coaching staff," said Christian. "Reggie is a young, talented coach and recruiter who has been successful as both an assistant coach and dating back to his days as a player. His experience on the DFW and Texas recruiting trails will also be a big asset to this program. Reggie and his family will make a wonderful addition to TCU and the Fort Worth community.” ...

FWIW Pony's may actually step up a notch with his replacement so not sure I'd gloat too much.

You're probably right. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy Turgeon had on staff at A&M (but left behind when he went to Maryland) might be a higher-profile coach than Dougherty (sp?) could hire for SMU.
