I'll take the over.
ugh, shoot me. Half my extended family will be giving me [ Finebaum ] for that. It was SO nice the past decade. Son of a [ hundin]
I'll take the over.
My Aggie nephew was offered my tickets. He told me, "If y'all had a chance to beat them, sure. But I don't want to watch the damned Longhorns run up and down the field all day long."ugh, shoot me. Half my extended family will be giving me [ Finebaum ] for that. It was SO nice the past decade. Son of a [ hundin]
uh, oh, getting political now.dont disagree on defense sucking. But those picks were brutal.
when Kendal was taking in his ear after that next to last one, I wondered if he was reciting “The Little Engine That Could.”
come to think of it, Briles, Biden, and Kamala could all title their autobiography “I Suck.”
They obviously have the proper personnel for it. You thinking Frogs do also, based on what you've seen the past 2 seasons?KSU runs a 3-3-5 and seems to work for them
Worked just fine on the school yard at Stephenville ISD!Agreed, The system is not the problem, it's the guy calling the 3rd grade plays and lining the players up 20 yards off their opponents.
Yeah, we scored 7 points in them.Did you watch Georgia?
uh, oh, getting political now.
Our defense even make bad offenses look amazing. I am sure Gillespie is already looking at where he wants to work next year. It’s not the players. The way he runs his scheme is awful. The players have no chance....and KState, and Michigan, and Colorado, and Iowa State, and WVU, and Texas Tech, and OSU
One would assume that would likely be Stephenville High School as 3/4th of his years coaching have been there in some form or the other.I am sure Gillespie is already looking at where he wants to work next year.
Not political, just facts.uh, oh, getting political now.
You did see the part where he said the defense wasn’t the problem, right?...and KState, and Michigan, and Colorado, and Iowa State, and WVU, and Texas Tech, and OSU
Or 3UT gonna win by 60
No they're not doing a decent job. This isn't an either/or situation. The offense is making [ Finebaum ]loads of mistakes and the defense is getting their asses handed to them by every team with a competent offense. And we still haven't even played the two best offenses on the schedule yet and we don't have Kansas or OK St on the schedule who have 2 of the better offenses in the conference. Our anemic offense puts a ton of pressure on the defense.
We have the lowest time of possession in our conference.
We run the most offensive plays per game in the B12. (Yay, we’re #1)
We have the worst Red Zone conversion % in the conf. (We don’t finish drives)
We are 10th/14 in punts per game. (1st being fewest punts per game, aka we 3 and out a ton)
Only 4 teams throw more INTs per game than us in conf.
Defense is on the field all game and we run plays so quickly and punt so often they don’t get a break between series. Outside of KSU, they’re doing a pretty decent job, all things considered.
Or 3
My bad, I misunderstood.Kstate beat us bad. I was referring to us
Lmao love itMy bad, I misunderstood.
But if we do transitive property with the Houston game then we're about to beat Texas by 14+.
Lost to CU by 3. Threw 2 picks in the redzone and turned failed to convert 4th down on final drive with a chance to win.No they're not doing a decent job.
If the defense was mostly holding up over the first 3 quarters and then just getting gassed in the 4th then you could make an argument that the things you listed about the offense were having an adverse effect on the defense. But the defense gets toasted in the first half just as much as they do in the second so this "they're always on the field" argument doesn't carry a lot of weight.
Also, you have to keep in mind that one of the reasons they're on the field so much is that they don't stop people. How many 3 and outs or turnovers does this defense force? Not a lot. So you can't gripe about the offense putting you in bad situations when you're hardly ever doing anything to put the offense in good situations. And obviously the special teams woes have been part of the problem in that regard as well.
Anyone watching The games knows our defense is as porous as they come, even equal to or worse than USC….. Teams just don’t need to score 60 to beat us. We have played bad offenses and they still scored at will. Watching this defense makes you want to pull your hair out .Lost to CU by 3. Threw 2 picks in the redzone and turned failed to convert 4th down on final drive with a chance to win.
Against WVU offense had 1 yard in the 3rd quarter and no points 2nd half. Did defense lose that game?
We threw 4 interceptions against ISU. How often does the team that throws 4 INTs win?
Gave Tech the ball at our 16 yard line for easy TD. Final drive, had the ball for a chance to tie and go to overtime and threw another INT.
Not to mention our abysmal 61% FG kicking.
Defense gave us a chance to win all of those games and offense/ST didn’t deliver.
