First, he would never have transferred to TCU and he explicitly said so.
As for taking him over Allen initially? Meh, who knows how it would have turned out. Would he have stuck around if we stayed with Boykin over him? Probably not. Would he be as good without OUs spectacular offensive line, especially last year? So many what ifs that it's impossible to answer.

Very unlikely that the Big 12 would have given him an extra year of eligibility if he had transferred to TCU. Had he signed here originally, we would have had much better QB play the last two seasons if he had managed to stick around.
