Wrigley Field goes purple

Northwestern and Illinois are playing at wrigley saturday and they painted the marquee purple....

but when they say friendly confines, they mean it...good lord that is close, ive never seen goalposts mounted to the wall...even in idaho they were just hanging from the ceiling....

Still don't know why they did it that way. Bears played there for almost 50 years, and their field was north/south.

It would be pretty sweet if they painted the whole field Purple, for Northwestern's school colors...on not.

Maybe grass is best left green.
