FORT WORTH, Texas — A little over a year ago, TCU women's basketball was in the headlines because they were holding open tryouts. An unprecedented number of injuries to their starters forced them to forfeit two games while adding four walk-ons to the roster via their tryouts, in order to have enough players to finish out their season.
What a difference a year makes.
TCU women's basketball team's turnaround is the only thing being described as unprecedented.
Led by Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince, TCU closed out the Big 12 regular season as conference champions after beating rival and No. 1 seed Baylor, in the regular season finale. They did so by a final score of 64-59.
