It’s 38-38 at the end of regulation. Team A gets the ball first in overtime and they score a touchdown and make the extra point. Team B then gets their chance to match Team A’s overtime touchdown but they throw an interception. Instead of just taking a knee after making the interception, the defender for Team A who made the interception tries to return it. He gets all the way down to the opposing team’s 1 yard line but then he fumbles. The fumble is recovered by Team B. While trying to return the recovered fumble, the Team B player establishes himself outside of the end zone, but then in an act of desperation, he ends up going backwards into the end zone and gets tackled for a safety.
