How'd you know he was talking about you?

It's my choice and right to not have an unproven non-FDA approved vaccine in my arm, the same way it's your choice and right to have dicks shoved up your arse.

#mybodymychoice

I think you meant to say, "the same way it's any private businesses choice not to allow you entrance to their business."

Yay we are all free!

I'll go with the science ... not Abbott Max News DeSantis Onan The Pillow Guy FOX Johnson Qanon or you.... Just check the Hospital Beds available in the Red Bozo States. My heart goes out to them and the poor souls that can't get in for a bypass.

I'm going with the science too...the vaccines are awesome and masks are the new stone-age tool!

You do you, I will never berate you for that. But for what it's worth, I don't listen to Abbott, Max News (I don't even know what that is), Onan (no idea), The Pillow Guy (though he does make a pretty good pillow), FOX (unless it's Big Noon Kick-Off), Desantis, Johnson (not sure who that is), Qanon (N-O-P-E) & me...I'm just a fallible dude doing the best he can to see both sides and then integrate the good & reject the bad. The closest thing I come to in terms of a political position is "integrated thinking."

My heart goes out to them as well, totally agree. I think a lot of CDC flip-flopping, politicizing, and big tech censorship has screwed these people over into listening to witch doctors. That's what happens in a vacuum. It's a trust issue, and threats, mocking, & coercion make it worse. They have to experience and see the danger for themselves.

Agreed, but I don't think any businesses with common sense would be stupid enough to not allow 49% of the population into their stores...

Except that isn’t true - if those you choose to not allow in deem it to be discriminatory - whether true or not - you are not allowed freedom of choice as a business owner

try having a men’s only anything anymore and see how that goes - boys scouts say hi

or try refusing to make a cake that celebrates something you don’t believe in - and call a lawyer when you do it

there is a lot less freedom today as a business owner than you act like even as we try to “right the wrongs” of 200 years ago

I'm so sorry you have lost your right to discriminate based on race, sex, sexual orientation or religion, poor you!

Despite your great loss, businesses today do in fact have the right to refuse entrance based on masks and vaccine.

But the other 51% doesn't want to be around the other 49% and vice versa, so they really are just going to have to choose one. Better to choose the compassionate, thoughtful disease free group.

And even within that, ones community most likely leans one way or the other in which case when chasing the bottom line a business is probably best off conforming to their community standards, whatever they may be. i.e. most businesses in Bama probably cater to the anti mask anti vaxers while most businesses in NYC and LA are probably better off appeasing the customers in their communities that are pro vax and agreeable to wearing a mask indoors for the benefit of their community.

I can see how you can feel that way.

I think it depends on what your expectation is. Football and conference alignment convo? Yes, this thread sucks. A debate where people are becoming more centered? Yes, this thread sucks. A risk-free "lab" that helps clarify your own arguments and sense of things? Personally, I think that's pretty cool.
My (vain) expectation is that people will stop beating this dead horse. All I hear are the same positions stated in different words over and over and over.

If your arguments and sense of things on this subject are unclear at this point, they will never be clear

For the most part, I definitely know what you're saying.

Of course they do - because the left wants it right now

You were the one that said business had a right to deny service- which they don’t actually - they have a right to comply with local laws and that is all and has been proven in court over and over

funny coming from a bigot as you demonstrated you are the other day - but because the slur was aimed at the less educated instead of racial - I am sure you think you aren’t a bigot

try not requiring masks when they are mandated and see how much choice you have

or try requiring them when there is no mandate and see how long you get away with it when a member of an under represented demographic accuses the owner of discrimination even if every person is required to wear one

I mean the Boy Scouts was so keeping the Girl Scouts down- so it was definitely necessary to end that organization to end the oppression of having a boys only group - so terrible

as soon as the public realizes the fact that the majority of unvaccinated are minorities - let’s we how long the right to restrict access for a lack of proof of vaccination lasts in cities of Chicago and Atlanta

We are all disease free. This is blown so out of proportion it's not even funny. (~2.6% of the entire global population has or had covid... 207m vs 7.9b) You've taken the blue pill, and the sheep will do what they do. I'll keep the red pill and be on the side of logic and concern. Go ahead and give up your rights and freedoms, but leave mine the hell alone.

Just 1 point of clarification. It's possible that what is happening in the "red states" is going to happen in the "blue states" at late fall & winter time. Virus' have a tendency to thrive in indoor settings. Just get yourself mentally prepared for that. There's a ton of unvaccinated dry tinder the Delta will work through in the north east, mid-west.

I'm not saying take it to the bank, but it's possible.

They're tinder like the minority owned businesses burned down by the BLM protests... that were riots, but because they were "left" they were protests.

Stop sucking at the CNN, MSNBC, liberal teat and open your eyes.

Whatever happens, it is going to be blown out of proportion to continue to try and erode your rights.

And that's what integrated thinking does, it strives to push back on both sides, draw out what's true, all the while ticking off both tribes.

In one single thread I've been brushed off as a "Q" and "Max News" (still have no idea what that is) guy, and now I am assumed to be on the teat of CNN and MSNBC. Sorry dude, but I don't subsist on their "fear porn" either.

I would call many of the BLM protests riots also, some probably were peaceful but some were absolutely riots. Just like I would say that Jan. 6 was an "insurrection," but it was way overblown and actually helpful in exposing: 1. How soft our politicians are & 2. How vulnerable we are. It shouldn't have happened, but at the same time the aristocratic politicians should just be glad it wasn't a cartel funded paramilitary group. You know what Davey Crockett would have done? Produced his pistol and handled it himself.
