Part of the reason dykes was hired was because he knew how to use the transfer portal. He states if they arent good enough to play for another team then we don’t need them here. You heard almost zero effort in chasing offensive linemen when we knew it was a weakness and it shows. QBs that we’re suppose to come here didn’t. No QB came and we took people who could not play on other teams and here we are. Was this his strategy or is that not our NIL game?

We need to have success this year to show it was not a fluke season and we lost the transfer portal after a national Championship appearance.

What are you talking about? Deery and Patrick are both transfer portal guys. Maybe you heard zero effort but that’s on you for not paying attention.

as moose pointed out you are wrong again, and the question for you is what are you willing to do to help address this issue

do you think the recent success texas has had in recruiting offensive linemen a byproduct simply of hiring flood or maybe, just maybe the nil bounty so to speak put on offensive line recruits?

same with the transfer portal, sonny and his staff can contact all the transfers they want, but are you and the others who gripe about the lack of effort willing to get out their check books?

If our boosters don’t really want to get into an arms race in trying to pay kids enough money for them to come to TCU and play football, then so be it. That’s their decision and I have zero problem with it.

Like someone else said, in this era if you want top recruits, either through high school or the portal you need to pay up. I donated and so should everyone else on this forum who wants results.
