Just read where the Lexington Kentucky regional doesn’t have any hotel rooms in the area available. So the other three teams are staying in dorms on UK campus… AND BEING CHARGED 93.00 PER NIGHT BY THE SCHOOL. Really really terrible look by both UK and the NCAA for accepting that regional bid.

I think the NCAA covers the cost. It may not be that bad for the teams. I’ve definitely stayed in dorms that were better than the hotels in the area. It does suck for the fans. Is there some other event in the area?

But they are removing to bunk beds from the dorm rooms.

One regional to Big 12 and OSU gets it. More amazing the SEC bias extends to baseball. I’m so sick of the SEC. God bless our Veterans!
to be honest - the B12 didn't deserve any other than this has really been a pretty bad year of baseball across the entire country. That is how they justified half the bids going to SEC.

But it would have been a good year to throw a bone to some "less than deserving" schools or ones that traditionally don't get to host. However in the end, it is all about $$$$ if nothing else like record/performance trumps it.

OSU got the B12 bid because they were holding one for somebody - at first WVU until they got swept by Texas, then Texas until they went 2 and Q in the tourney - so OSU at least making the final gave them a "reason" to pick a B12 team

Bad year to not be better during the regular season since every conference around the country was average.

I mean - Wake Forest is the #1 team in baseball - that alone tells you something is off

Depends on the primary wind direction and the humidity of Fayetteville is I believe higher therefore less carry for baseballs? Just my two cents worth of opinion. Go Frogs!

Plus the wind blows out to Right center at Baum, blows in or across at Lupton.

ORU isn't Baptist.
It's Evangelical.
Evangelical isn't a denomination or official designation, except for a few Protestant churches founded during the Reformation. In modern terms, evangelicalism is a mostly Protestant church movement arising during and after the Second Great Awakening (1795-1835), which emphasized proselytizing unbelievers. Many churches are evangelical, including Baptists. Most of these originated in America, but evangelical subgroups also exist within oldline denominations from Europe (Anglicans/ Episcopalians, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Roman Catholics, etc). Most evangelicals are affiliated with independent churches.

Oral Roberts was from an evangelical subcategory called the "holiness" or "charismatic" churches -- the tongues-and-healing crowd. It includes the Assemblies of God, the Pentecostals, the Vineyard Churches, and many smaller groups and independents. In 1947, Roberts founded the Prosperity Gospel movement (also called "Health & Wealth," "Word of Faith," or "Word of Knowledge"), a subcategory of charismatics. It is now preached by Joel O'Steen, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Ken Hagin, and others.

ORU is historically affiliated with the charismatic movement, but not the Prosperity movement.
