TCU also had a good argument for inclusion, but the lack of variety may have been an issue for Jamie Dixon’s team as well. All 12 of the Horned Frogs’ Quadrant 1 games were played in conference, with its Quadrant 2 win over Florida being the best non-conference result. TCU didn’t have any “bad” losses, going 11-0 in Quadrant 3/4 games, and the non-conference slate was ranked 117th with regards to strength.

The committee isn’t supposed to look at conference records so it “shouldn’t” matter when you play the Q1 games as long as they are there.

Both us and Oklahoma went 7-11 in the Big 12, we made it further than them in the Big 12 tournament

But because we schedule like cowards in non conference and Oklahoma scheduled up and actually played good teams, they got in.

Oklahoma had the 11th ranked non conference SOS.

To be fair, if Noi or Bane or Owens wasn't setting the pick, they were all unreliable to varying degrees. Samuel was reliable in the worst sense of the word. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, take a look at the individual stats in conference play. Not pretty.

No doubt, which is all the more reason not use the pick and roll exclusively at the end of games with a big.

No reason, why you can't incorporate Bane and/or Noi in a pick and pop. At least with one of them setting the screen, you can't have a defender sagging or two guys jumping Robinson the way you can with others.
