The Daily O'Collegian: Arakawa delivers late-inning heroics in OSU win

Tim Arakawa watched ball two go by and stepped back in the batter’s box, patiently waiting for TCU left-hander Alex Young to deliver his next pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Young came set and left a ball over the plate — Arakawa sent a line drive back up the middle.
As soon as the ball left his bat, Arakawa had one thought going through his head.
“Nobody better catch that, nobody better catch that,” Arakawa said. “If somebody catches that, I’m going to be real mad.”
Well, it found its way into centerfield and the throw home from Cody Jones was too late, scoring Gage Green and giving OSU the win, 2-1 Saturday in Stillwater. ...
