The Clarion-Ledger: Ole Miss gets another crack at TCU this weekend

OXFORD — A few years ago, when a week was added to the front of the college baseball schedule, Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco and TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle got together and decided to set up a series.
They did not expect to also meet in the postseason, which is why the team that Ole Miss opens the 2013 season with is the same team that sent the Rebels home from the postseason eight months ago.
“Hopefully we’ll be done with them for a while after this,” Bianco said in advance of the three-game series, which begins at 4 p.m. today.
Ole Miss is No. 13 in the country according to Baseball America, while TCU is No. 14.
“I think it adds something to that opening weekend,” Bianco said. “You’re excited because you get to put on that uniform for the first time, but to know that you’re going to have a team in the top-25 … it’s a huge challenge for us.” ...
