Just whenever he writes something TCU-related. If that is every day, every week or once a year. It is put there for others to decide if they want to read it or not. I am not a book-burner. I simply choose to ignore things I don't like.
Come on now. We both know he regularly writes about TCU so stop playing these games. If he only wrote about TCU once a year, few if any people would care. You could do any number of things to meet us halfway on this but you are choosing not to. What is the real reason you are not doing so?

I don't choose when or what he writes.

Those screaming to "ban" Engle sound like the college liberal snowflakes who shout down, disrupt and even riot against speech they don't agree with.

Bottom line is they will continue, along with other articles and columns that are TCU-related. Same thing that has been going on here, that I have been doing every morning for 20 years.

Lol, you are dodging the question. You are choosing to consistently post his articles on Killerfrogs Fan Forum. Nobody is buying this deflection about it being a free speech issue. For example, you could post every single one of his articles including his back issue articles to the Political Forum and nobody would care. In fact, that is a more appropriate place for his articles given his modus operandi.

Once again, what is the real, selfish reason for your behavior here? Are you getting compensated? Does muck have incriminating information on you? Are you muck himself? What is the nitty gritty reason?

Grow up. I am done here.

Was I supposed to type something here?
This isn't a maturity issue. This is a "you're not being honest with us" issue. And now, apparently, the kitchen got a little too hot for you.
Drop it.

If you don't like it, don't click on it. It's as simple as that. If Top doing his best to aggregate TCU related news and opinion bugs you, then adios! Find another TCU related site and enjoy yourself. There's nothing stopping you.

It isn't just me, in that poll over 70% of the people who voted don't want to see Muck's articles at all. So what you are really saying is 70% of the people need to take a hike.
You act like it is some great hardship to make it clear it is a Muck article in the thread title. It is actually very easy to do so. You just write: "Muck: I hate TCU this week because...." or whatever his article title is. That is it. Or just post his low value articles in the political forum or some other forum.

The more aggressive move would be to sidestep Top altogether and just encourage folks to put Top on ignore. In this way, all the low value Muck articles would be hidden but that wouldn't be fair to Top to at least give him the opportunity to be amenable.

Muck's articles are like hardcore pornography. It requires special rules and regulations as it is a moral health hazard. Just because some degenerates here want to partake in it does not mean the rest of us should be subjected to it. If they must have their degeneracy, it needs to at least be set in another room behind a curtain like at the old video stores. We don't want any children or good folk stumbling across that crap by accident.

My thing is this, said it many times, if anyone writes about TCU good or bad I would think we as fans want to know.

Muck is a Schmuck. He is like a shock jock but with a keyboard. Obviously I don't post all of his columns ... and he does occasionally write something complimentary/interesting/insightful about TCU.

But to censure or ban is not right (from a journalist's viewpoint). Don't click, don't read if you choose. It is like choosing what shows to watch or stations to listen to. Move on to another thread. But I think we should know what is being said in the media, especially in what is supposed to be the "hometown" newspaper (which doesn't mean it is supposed to be a homer paper either.)

That is my take and what I believe was/is always the take from Scott and Wes.

I know I was one of his detractors in the hubbub last week or so, but this is by far the...I don't want to say best reason...maybe the best-explained reason why his schlock gets posted. I know hometown newspaper doesn't mean homer newspaper, and if his criticisms were on the mark or relevant at times, I might consider reading them. However, in all the articles I have read, emphasis on that I have read, they are neither.

That being said, I will continue to any of the articles he writes, but I will also stop bitching about it.

I don't like liver. Oh, if it's smothered with fried onions and some catsup I can quickly chew and swallow the vile stuff, but I don't enjoy it. So when it's an offering on the steam table at Luby's or Piccadilly or Golden Corral I just move on, select another item I do like, and enjoy my meal.

I don't like Muck. Can't stand Muck. So when I hover the little mouse-controlled arrow over the thread title that contains "FWST" and the tiny preview pops up with his byline I just move on, select another thread I do like, and enjoy my reading.

It's really not all that hard to avoid his stuff. And although I'd not mind at all if there were never, ever again any links to his works of snark in any of our threads, it's not my call, any more than it's my call for Luby's never to serve liver again. Percentages of likes and dislikes? Don't matter a bit; what matters is using my finger to click (or not) on any one of the plethora of links on the forum.
