gil is starting to show signs of senilty, then again he did that drafting rod hill and jeff roher in the first round years ago.

the fact patrick morris can lift a great deal of weight hasn't been news for a very long time. quick google search will turn up videos of him dead lifting and squatting a great deal of weight back and guyer and patrick has turned up on multiple pre-season lists for his strength i.e. for those who believe tcu does not get the message out about their football players

I think the 35 inch vertical was the surprise.

froger,

i really am not sure what you are expecting, but when you accuse the site of not wanting to be educated about the tcu players might i suggest a little bit of knowledge on how the players are decided upon for a combine invite. think the interview with jeff foster will be especially informative when foster talks about nfl scouting's response to lobbying efforts for players to be invited.

Simmer down Eight. Not everyone follows TCU players like we do

i highly doubt the people who truly scout for the nfl teams were surprised by patrick morris in any of those measurements.

gil is a media name and nothing else who helped build the cowboys and then got bypassed when other teams caught up with his methods.

37 reps at 225 is pretty incredible.

It is incredible, but arm length and bench press numbers usually work against each other. Without knowing how long his arms are it's hard to tell how much the great bench #'s are going to help him relative to other prospects.

Think we end up having 3 or 4 drafted this year. Noteboom, Hicks, Howard, and maybe Morris. You have a good pro day and one or two more can get in there.

not really, morris easily power cleaned 385 in high school

combine that with squatting over 700 pounds and dead lifting well over 400 lbs and you have incredible lower body strength, flexibility and explosion

Yeah, but leg strength in the weight room is not a direct correlation to vertical. Not saying there is not a correlation, but not a direct one. Plenty of ppl can dunk that can’t squat jack and plenty of ppl can squat insane amount of weights and can barely get off the floor

Kyle Hicks is a great guy that’ll do well in life but I’d be shocked if he was drafted. I’d put the over under at 1.5 on Frogs in the draft.
