-2.5 is pretty crazy..They are getting a lot of credit for beating a bad football team. I think this one moves during the week

I wrote this on the other site, but 95% of the spread is just addition and subtraction... Our Sagarin rating is 85, UT’s is 81. The difference is 4 in our favor and then the Horns get a couple points for homefield. That’s it.
It actually should be 1 or 1.5, so they’re giving us a little respect.

I think the line is due to a few things:
If y’all remember or those who don’t bet remember Vegas had this slated as a pick’em when lines were released prior to season. So, 2.5 was an adjustment due to recent outcomes.
Road Conference opener
Letdown after Ohio St
(although I believe we will be motivated due to the tough self-inflicted loss)
Our perception from OSU loss (self-inflicted)
Not really due to USC victory would be my guess OR the line would be Pick’em today.
Revenge a distant 4th
And....of course......where they think the public will be split with that #

ESPN predictor has the horns 61% chance of winning. I don't know their algorithm to arrive at that number but they often have head scratchers.

Apparently their predictor goes back thru 40 years of data to set that.
I'm not a betting man but this is too good to pass up. If anyone wants to share info, I'm interested as well.
