Someone wished that our tuition would rise slower than inflation, and the monkey paw curled....

Ah, so before higher ed turned into an overpriced albatross hanging from student necksThank goodness I matriculated in the 1960's. My four years cost less than 10K including everything. (except beer)

How much was your first house?
I spoke with a guy who was in his 70s or 80s last week and he said his first gone cost only 25k
We bought our first house (a condo) in Pacifica, CA in 1973 for 25K. Sold it 14 months later for 45K. 5 years later, it sold for 240K.How much was your first house?

Yup the good ol’ department of division and exclusionGotta be like Yale. Student body number = Administrators number. Gotta fund all the new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion staffers.

Sure wish my granddad had hung onto my dad’s childhood home - a little 25 or so acre farm in the sticks between Keller and Grapevine (less than 1/10th of a mile from where Bonnie and Clyde killed two police officers a decade earlier). He sold it in the early 60s to move them into Grapevine proper. Anybody wanna guess what 25 acres on Dove Road at 114 would be worth today?I bought my current house in 2015. According to Zillow, it’s worth nearly twice what I paid
