Apparently they do not hold the Big East in high regard. They see a decimated ACC still having the ability to simply "absorb the Big East current 8 football schools." As you read the different projections the blog seems ACC-centric. Maybe ACC guys created the blog.
"It's possible that both the Big Ten and SEC could combine to raid the ACC. The Big Ten could try to add Maryland and Georgia Tech (along with Notre Dame and Missouri), and the SEC could try to add Florida State, Miami, and Clemson. If that were to actually happen, then the ACC would be down to just 7 teams and need to add a whopping 9 more to become a 16-team superconference.
It's doubtful that the ACC would venture out west to add a bunch of schools, although that would be an option. More likely would be that they would absorb the Big East's current 8 football schools. Although TCU, who hasn't yet joined the Big East for football, could also be an option."
