Alex Rybakov was in Cancun this past week for one of their many ITF tourneys and he won his first main draw match over Federico Zeballos but lost in a tough 3-setter to Dennis Novikov in the 2nd round. Nick Chappell is on the acceptance list in Cancun for this week's tourney. Alastair Gray, fresh off a title at Shrewsbury, is scheduled to be in Glasgow for an ITF tourney there (it's got a tougher draw and he's only listed as the 13th seed), but he's hot. Cam Norrie will be the top seed at Delray Beach. Jenson Brooksby will also be there - he's in the final today at the Dallas Open.

Today's match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. against Virginia. It's Kids' Day and free face painting will be available throughout. Both the Cavs and Frogs have 5 ranked singles players and 2 ranked doubles teams.

Yesterday vs Baylor, UVA held out Botzer, a legit top 20 player in the country, and Ross, who plays #6 singles and has been there forever. In their place were two guys who never play, both of whom were beaten soundly. Both Botzer and Ross are back in the lineup today. So Baylor struggles to beat a hamstrung Cavs lineup but will get full credit in the ITA's computer rankings. Meanwhile, we'll have to beat the full strength version. I suppose a charitable view would be that maybe this shows UVA respects us more, but regardless, it kind of sucks.

Fomba/Fearnley take their set! FAA beat Tsitsipas in the final at Rotterdam.

Jong/Maxted take theirs and it's TCU 1 Virginia 0 as the Frogs win their 9th consecutive doubles point!

(Off to work - Go Frogs!)
