STILLWATER, Okla. — It may be a non-conference series, but that doesn’t take anything away from how big Oklahoma State’s 6-2 win over Texas Christian was on Friday night.
Against one of the nation’s top pitchers, the No. 18 Cowboys were able to win the first of a three-game series against a No. 8 Horned Frogs team that OSU could definitely see again down the road.
TCU’s Kyle Winkler (8-1) entered the game with a 1.25 ERA and had given up just 11 earned runs in 79.1 innings. But on Friday, he would be out-done by OSU’s starting pitcher — Mike Strong. ...
