So is the guy that hired him…and we are stuck because of itA guy that should have never been a head coach at the P5/P4 level. People gave him a pass on Cal, but he is what he is. Mediocre coach who got jobs because of his dad. Go manage a circus or a McDonald's cause you're a clown. What an embarrassment.
The worst part of this is, if you believe we won't be willing to stomach a buyout and hire a first-rate coach, when the next realignment wave hits he will have run the program so far into the ground we'll once again be on the outside looking in, wishing we could play with the big boys.
I don’t want to go this far but it does feel as if we are at a pivotal moment for future relevance. This season could still be salvaged although I highly doubt it.The worst part of this is, if you believe we won't be willing to stomach a buyout and hire a first-rate coach, when the next realignment wave hits he will have run the program so far into the ground we'll once again be on the outside looking in, wishing we could play with the big boys.
That's Sonny's plan. Because he actually a decent G5 coach. The worst part of this is, if you believe we won't be willing to stomach a buyout and hire a first-rate coach, when the next realignment wave hits he will have run the program so far into the ground we'll once again be on the outside looking in, wishing we could play with the big boys.
He looks like he could sell you life insurance or burial plots.Spike Dykes was 82-67 as a head coach. Sonny is 92-75. They are the same. The Dykes family are average coaches. Maybe consider a career change. Hope his son doesn't go into coaching. Maybe manage a McDonald's instead.
Well he is digging his own grave with his performance week to week…..He looks like he could sell you life insurance or burial plots.

But it does feel as if we are perilously close to a steep hill we won’t be able to climb back up.
