SEC wants to do away w/85 footbal limit. If they do, that would be DOOMSDAY for TCU recruiting

how old are you because they have been cheating their arses off in college football much longer than the last two decades

hell, we were buying players in the 80's along with smu, atm, uh, and others and it happened before then

i would bet the week after the first set of standings published in the newspaper we saw some school pull some "shenanigans"
My Uncle, in the late 1930s, was an all league OT his Jr year, in the Big 6 for Oklahoma A&M(OSU). When he didn't show for August camp his Sr year, they called and he said he had to help his dad on their wheat farm. Coaches drove down to El Reno Ok and hired 2 farm hands for his Dad that season ... then brought him back up to Stillwater.

seems? they are powerless. ou stared them down during the big red auto scandal, miami with the nevin shapiro pyramid scheme, and kansas giving bill self a life time contract with clause he can't be fired if he or the program are found to have violated ncaa rules.

the only power the ncaa ever had over its members as we find out is what those members allowed the ncaa to exercise over them

My point is that, in the past, the NCAA could step in, fire off a couple of rounds (often shooting the wrong school in the foot) and people would at least pay attention. It has now gotten to the point where the NCAA can't fire off anything more than firecrackers.

UT and A$M fans saying on their message boards that between them, OU, and LSU - with recruiting limits dropped - the State of Texas will be picked clean of all High School football talent.

A$M can’t wait for limits to be dropped (will be dropped in 2024). Their fans have talked with A$M athletic dept folks and the yearly goal for recruits will be 75 football schollieschollie per yr initially and possibly 100 a year later. UT of course says they will likely do the same.

Seriously, TCU will be playing with Div 3 quality players (5’7” 160 lb QBs).

And DE’s who weigh 175 lbs)

Wyoming Dog is lovin' all this gloom and doom possibility for the frogs. A good % of HS players really do want to play! Most will see UT recruit 4-5 cornerbacks with 4-5*s every year... which will see many fall into the portal annually... if not the kids figure this out way before they fall for the idea they're getting on the field among 16 to 20 other 4/5*s at CB.

He ain't givin' up, is he. Just loves to be a Negative Nancy, when it comes to the Frogs.
