Countdown to Kickoff 2024: 81 Days

By Anthony North

Joining the Horned Frogs after a stint in college baseball, tight end Chase Curtis became an every game contributor in his third season in Fort Worth, playing on the special teams units in every game of TCU’s run to the CFP National Championship in 2022, making four special teams tackles.

In 2023, Curtis saw a major increase in action on offense, hauling in 15 receptions for 132 yards and his first career touchdown, a career-long 36-yard reception for to seal the win over SMU. His encouraging early season efforts were cut short due to injury, missing the final four games of the campaign. With All-Big 12 tight end Jared Wiley now in the NFL, the TCU TE position has a huge hole to fill; Curtis will be called upon for an even greater role in 2024, competing with DJ Rogers and Baylor transfer Drake Dabney for top line reps and is certain to provide quality depth for the Frogs this fall.
