Coach Graham was a legend. Had the chance to talk baseball with him once a long time ago and felt like a kid in a candy store. Man you just never wanted to have to try and out coach Graham when Rice was at their peak.
Between him, Mike Gillespie and Augie, that’s prob my Mount Rushmore of college coaches of all time. (W Coach Gustafson not too far behind) And I feel honored to have had personal interactions w two of them!

Coach Graham was a very interesting guy. The breadth of knowledge, interests and experiences the man had outside of baseball was pretty amazing. He taught a lot of people what could be done in college baseball. Many worked to emulate the model he built at Rice. The game is better today because of what he did there. RIP to one of the absolute legends of the game.
