He has done a very good job as DC at Oregon State and he has to wanna get the heck out of there. He just got a big raise to $800k/yr. with a $50k buyout.

He might get the big job, though, now that their HC is going to Mich State.

Lots of great coordinators are ruined by the promotion to head coach. Of course, most HCs, from what I have seen, were once a coordinator. Don't know of any that went from position coach to HC, although they probably exist.
