Jamie's coaching this year should
rank among his best efforts.
Gary McGee could do everything
asked of him under the rim...
except be a consistent scorer
for Pitt...

And, here's a name for future
consideration if CJC leaves:
RANDY BENNETT.

Additionally, how can Mike
Brey (or anyone else) be named
Coach of the Year until the NCAA
Tournament is over?

The latest...Sporting News announces COY!

"Pitt coach Jamie Dixon was named national coach of the year by The Sporting News Magazine. It is the fourth national coach of the year award for Dixon, who also won the Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year (2010), USA Basketball National Coach of the Year (2010) and Naismith National Coach of the Year (2009).

"Dixon concluded his eighth season with a loss to Butler in the third round of the NCAA tournament Saturday. He has 216 victories in eight seasons as Pitt's head coach."

He's a great coach but he hasn't been able to get the calls in his team's favor. He's had a lot of hard luck games in which he has lost and not gone as far as he should have.
