I believe the issues reported by T-Mobile and Verizon users turned out to be caused by their inability to reach AT&T customers.

So you have a T Mobile device then….

my att work phone is SOS at the moment, but my verizon personal device is up and running.

no good info on why it happened, but I read it’s based in ATTs cross network connection (peering) system and that took down the bulk of the network somehow.

I'd think if it was solar flares all services would be affected rather than just AT&T. They all share infrastructure.
