Nebraska booted from AAU

TCU is not a research institute and would not be considered.

It may or may not be an institutional goal, but I doubt anyone holds it against us; plenty of smallish, excellent private schools aren't in the AAU (Dartmouth from the Ivy League and Notre Dame come to mind), but large flagship state schools are sort of expected to be. Of course, Rice is in, so it's not completely out of reach for us if it was something we wanted to pursue.

This is pretty serious. Apparently every Big XII school that was in the AAU voted them to stay, but not every Big 10 school did.
