Would like that to happen and know that at least one R Sox scout likes ES but he doesn't cover Texas. I didn't get the feeling that they were players at this point in the draft for ES.

Skoug is from Illinois so he'd be back close to home.

Not a great result for Skoug or Schloss and TCU. Was projected as high as third round out of high school. Dropped to 34th round after being clear he wasn't going pro. Obviously want to see kids go to college then go higher than they would've out of HS. That said, it's hard to draw any certainty from "projected as high as 3rd" then went 34th and now 7th. FWIW, the MLB prospect summary on Skoug mentions his slow start in 2017 and mentions he might have to move to first base in pro ball.

Moose is the expert but this may be low enough that he thinks about returning. Think he got hammered for his slow start at the plate this season.
