Miller was in on 3rd down

Did you look at the picture? Look where our lineman are, Ali is 2 yards behind the play and Lanz is behind the line of scrimmage because he pulled. It was an abomination of a play call, and the 4th down play was just as bad. If you are going to use Kendre's strength up the middle, just smash mouth it in. Instead, we do a slower developing pull play that allows KState to get at Kendre's legs 3 yards behind the goal. Literally F- on the coaching staff on those 2 plays.
thanks, did not realize this. And agree, no slow moving play. Go right at them.

We have been in the Big 12 since 2012. In each of those 10 seasons, the officials simply cannot properly spot the ball. We see it week in, week out, and that is just the tip of the iceberg on the level of incompetence that is a constant thorn in the side of this conference. I'm all fine with Bathing Apes (whatever the hell that is) but the new commissioner should make fixing what has become the far worst officiating in college football a very high priority.
Not as bad as PAC.

If a correct spot of that Max extension, then the third down Miller run would have likely been in.

THIS ^^^

Think about it this way... spotting the ball where it should have been (inches from the goal line, even assuming same play/ same outcome) would have resulted in a no-doubt video overturn of the 4th down call, if it wasn't called a TD in the first place. (Miller starts his run 2 feet closer to the goal line!)

That spot was ridiculous after the video review of Duggan's dive.

(This all feels better knowing we're playing New Year's Eve now, though.)

Here is a lesson learned. The officials don’t want to run down to the reply screen if it’s a whole 80 stinking yards away. This time it would have been better to be closer to the screen, next time the reply screen could screw us.

So we have the technology to tell if a soccer players toenail is offside or a shot in tennis grazes the line yet football still use a chain to see where a first down falls.

Um….so it’s fairly clear that Kendre extended the ball over the goal line. The only argument to be made that it’s not a touchdown is that his knees were down. The Big12 statement is that he fumbled the ball and recovered it, but he obviously didn’t fumble it until after he extended it over the goal line, which means they’re saying his knees WEREN’T down before then!?!?

Who you gonna believe: your lying eyes, the endless video replays from half-a-dozen angles, the screen shots that can be minutely analysed...or us highly trained refs?
