A holiday weekend and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl could mean big bucks for Memphis.
The 58th annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl will take place Friday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m., pairing the University of Georgia Bulldogs against the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University (TCU).
Steve Ehrhart, executive director of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, said this year’s game might not reach 2015's attendance numbers of more than 61,000 fans since that game was on a Saturday. But, Ehrhart said this year’s holiday weekend is a good selling point.
