Notes
- Jake Arrieta had a better week, earning another win. He also hit Jeter, which is equal to five wins in my book.
- He also popped Jose Bautista (JoeyBats) in the head. Luckily, Jose was A-OK.
- In trade negotiations, the Pirates were holding Matt Curry up as their best outfield/first base prospect to teams looking to make a deal with the surprising NL Central contenders.
- Matt Carpenter is part of what some scouts refer to a deluge of prospects at the third base position, with a gaping need at second... Why can't Matt fill that hole? He isn't quite quick enough to play the holes effectively, but his bat would play well there.
- This isn't baseball related, but isn't it incredibly hilarious that with the opening at UNC everyone mentions GP as a possibility? Really? Why the hell would he do that?
- In the video corner today, check out the Orioles contribution to the anti-bullying group, "It Gets Better" featuring Jakey and his unshaven self.
- How much for a Andrew Cashner signed baseball? $20 bucks, cash.
- Andrew is also contributing to a campaign to bring awareness to the needs of military personnel, they are calling it the "boot campaign". It features this classic picture. CLASSIC! ...
