A group of voyeuristic aging men here who spend too much lazy time on social media are picking on a kid, hooper Olivia Miles, who said her team missed their shots - uff da; I think I know what is offensive here.

So, a certain segment of the population is trying to get more people to watch women's sports, but anyone actually watches them is a voyeur?

Actually it was a bunch of aging men who watched that player preen and literally flex after making a good play, then watched her not give credit to the players who beat her for a second time.

The thread exists for the exact reason that she didn't credit her opponents for beating her team.

You should read the OP, which quotes a journalist and explains exactly what happened.

Why should we give a damn what that twit says?

“No offense” in spoken language usually is a signal that something odd is about to be spoken and be prepared to be reasonably offended.

Last time I checked, she's a full fledged adult. You may think of her as a kid, but in the eyes of the law and formerly sane society, she's an adult. She attends Notre Dame. She should be smarter than to make comments like that. Maybe she is smart and just not mentally well adjusted. Either way, she gets no pass.

Is there actually an ESPN person named Shams Charania? I assumed at first that this was a burner account.
Some grown-folks perspective is in order here: Yeah, the ND girl (if that's how she identifies) said stupid things. And by now in the arc of history, people (if that's how they identify) who have a social media platform need to be accountable for saying stupid things.
We can absolutely savage someone who says stupid things against our teams, especially when it's as here, so well-deserved. . . But let's also remember, they are just dumb-ass kids, saying dumb-ass words They'll metaphorically sober up tomorrow, and with God's grace, so will we.

The Irish played the Frogs 2 times this season and lost to TCU both times. Don't ignore history .. it can make your comments look stupid!
