will now have experienced the backstabbing underhandedness that has defined Texas, A&M and the two ticks.

Just rememember wheatheads...when you lay with a dog you might get a flea.

....and don't think they won't try to break it off in you the first chance they get.

we left more conferences than Texas. Looking out for your own is not the same as backstabbing. When the SWC collapsed we were as much a flea as Baylor is today, we just didn't look out for ourselves as well.

What the hell are you talking about now?

TCU has not been the demise of ANY conference (got left by UTurd, Texas A and Um, and the two coattail riders - plus Arky - in the SWC) and got left by the Mountain West Eight when we were in the WAC, then got left by Cincinnati, Louisville, and South Florida in CUSA.

That we left after a conference was gutted is not even close to substantively the same as what Texas, A&M, and the others have done...which if this deal goes down, is effectively destroy two conferences that were doing just fine. Even if Nebraska and Mizzou leave first...you telling me the Big XII wouldn't be just fine with Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas, Colorado, Kansas State, Iowa State, and two of either TCU, BYU, and Utah?

Hell, that'd make it a BETTER football conference. But watch Texas jump ship leaving more folks who bent over backwards for them out in the cold.

Texas is the girl everyone's chasing, and that's great for them. But bein' pretty doesn't give you integrity.

And comparing what Texas will (if it goes down) have done to TWO perfectly good conferences now to TCU bolting conferences whose major members already left them is pure folly! Take off the burnt orange blinders and even you could easily see that, right?

Texas, as an institution, is what Lane Kiffin is as an individual.

so we should never be allowed to leave a dead conf?

losing NU, CU, and Mizzou would be the death of the big 12... why should we stay when everyone else is allowed to leave?

We never left an intact conference. If the PAC 16 is formed UT will have left 2.

Not sure about your definition of intact.

ut was the death of the big 12 when it was formed, no one else had the deal they had and now their greed is blooming.
