GoFrogs: Aristegui Wins Again as TCU Drops Road Match to Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU women's tennis (5-4, 0-1) couldn't overcome the Texas Tech Red Raiders (7-1, 1-0) on Saturday afternoon, falling, 6-1 at the Mcleod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas. Mercedes Aristegui remains perfect on the season in dual singles play, 8-0, after she notched her second ranked win of the week. She defeated No. 100 Staines in straight sets today after defeating No. 42 Stolmar in straight sets on Thursday.
Texas Tech took a hard-fought doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Marie Norris and Addy Guevara delivered their team-leading ninth doubles win together on court two. They are now 6-3 in dual doubles play this year. This was their first victory in their first start at the No. 2 doubles position.
Aristegui was the lone victorious Frog in singles play today. TCU is now 26-17 in dual singles matches this season.
