GoFrogs: TCU Blanks Baylor, 4-0

FORT WORTH – The TCU women's tennis team defeated the Baylor Bears 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

This was the Horned Frogs seventh Big 12 win and fifth conference sweep of the season. Both feats tie program records and the Frogs improved to 11-6 on the season and 7-4 in Big 12 play, along with 7-1 on the purple courts.

LEE'S THOUGHTS
"Tough conditions today with the wind and a tough opponent as always in Baylor," said head coach Lee Taylor Walker. "They're always the most mentally tough team we play and we knew going in we had to embrace the challenge of being more tough especially to have the willingness to be brave when given opportunities. I thought the way the doubles point ended really set the tone for us. Yuki ripping an aggressive return and Chiho flying across the court at the net and executing a quality volley was very brave and what it takes to win at this level."

"That continued onto the court for Jade, Raquel and Denny. Even the courts that remained we felt good about. Isa Hels and Yuki were fighting hard and had put themselves in great positions. This is what you want as a coach- the team coming together and competing our best toward the end of season. I'm most proud of the character of this team and how they continue to encourage each other, communicate openly and honestly with each other, and are always wanting to learn and grow and improve. Big shout out to the great crowd we had today, and the energy felt from the men's team and coaches. Great atmosphere and excited about the momentum we have now."
