GoFrogs: Horned Frogs Have Strong Day in Puerto Rico
RIO GRANDE, P.R. -- The TCU women's golf team tied for the third-best score on the day in second-round action Monday at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, P.R.
The Horned Frogs' 4-over-par 292 moved them into 11th place in a 15-team field that includes eight of the nation's top-50 programs. TCU improved its score by 17 strokes from Monday's opening round. Four of the five Horned Frogs lowered their scores, including three by at least five shots.
Jennie Park led TCU with a 1-under 71. The freshman from Carrollton, Texas, totaled three birdies, including two of her final four holes.
Sabrina Iqbal had a team-best four birdies en route to an even-par 72. It was the ninth par or better score in 17 rounds this season for the sophomore from San Jose, Calif.
Trinity King closed play with a birdie, one of her three on the day, for a 74. The freshman from Arlington, Texas, is tied for 34th and the top Horned Frog individually.
Grace Do's two birdies came on her first and fourth holes of the day. Valeria Pacheco added two birdies in contributing a 75.
