Winans Ties for Ninth at Betsy Rawls Invitational
Horned Frogs notch eighth straight top five team finish

AUSTIN, Texas – Amidst a challenging course and a Texas Hill Country wind surge, TCU carved out another slice of program history in the 2024-25 campaign.
The Horned Frogs tied for fifth at the Betsy Rawls Invitational on Tuesday, concluding their three-round affair at UT Golf Club plus-52 (916). TCU placed four golfers inside the top 25 and was led by Meagan Winans, who tied for ninth (+9, 153).
TCU secured a program record eighth consecutive top-five team finish and tied the 1998-99 Horned Frogs squad for the most top-fives ever in a season.
The 16th-ranked Frogs have finished no worse than sixth in any tournament ahead of their regular season finale, the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate at Colonial Country Club on March 24-25.
The top five of the team standings remained unaltered from round two. TCU tied No. 34 Oklahoma for fifth place. Seventh-ranked and tournament host Texas won the tournament at 16-over 880. Rounding out the top five were No. 13 LSU (+34), No. 2 Arkansas (+41) and No. 40 Tennessee (+43).
Winans was one of two Frogs to climb the leaderboard in the final round. She bagged consecutive birdies on 12 and 13 to vault into a tie for eighth. TCU's lone senior, Winans then parred four of her final five holes to maintain positioning inside the top 10. She notched her team-leading fourth straight top-15 finish and third top-10 of her career. Winans has now been TCU's top finisher in three of nine events.
The Richardson, Texas native led the field in par-3 scoring with a 2.92 stroke average and finished with 10 birdies – the second most of any player.
Sofia Barroso Sá finished three strokes back of Winans and tied for 16th at 13-over. The junior tallied the second-most pars (36) of anyone in the field en route to her team-leading 15th career top-20 and seventh of the season.
Kirstin Angosta climbed 13 spots in the final round to tie for 25th (+16, 160). She was the second-biggest riser on moving day in the 78-player field. Angosta began her round with birdies on holes one and five.
Camille Min-Gaultier matched Angosta's scorecard.
Fellow freshman Gracie McGovern tied for 59th.
