Final Stats
WACO, Texas – In the regular season finale, the No. 24 TCU women’s tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 18 Baylor at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas on Wednesday night.
The Horned Frogs (13-8, 5-4 Big 12) found themselves trailing the Bears (18-5, 5-2 Big 12) early in the match as Baylor was able to secure the doubles point with wins on all three courts. TCU did not back down as they took the opening sets on three of the courts with Caroline Wegner first off the court with her second straight win as she downed Angie Shakhraichuk, 6-3, 6-3.
Baylor did not let up as they grabbed the final three points they needed to win the match with straight set victories on courts one, two and six.
