GoFrogs: W. Golf in 4th Place at Minnesota Invitational
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- TCU sophomore Brooke Graebe carded a second-round 72 to lead TCU to a fourth-place standing after Monday's opening 36 holes at the Minnesota Invitational in Minneapolis.
The Horned Frogs are at 594 and just four strokes off the lead, held by Texas at 590.
Graebe recorded three birdies in a four-hole stretch on the front nine in second-round play. The Yorba Linda, Calif., native is tied for 12th individually with a 3-over-par 147.
TCU's Brooke McDougald and Emmy Martin are tied for 17th at 5-over 149. McDougald had three birdies en route to an opening-round 73.
Sabina Pena totaled three birdies in carding a 76 and 75, respectively.
Kelly McGovern, the lone senior in the TCU lineup, closed play Monday with a second-round 74.
Tuesday's final round will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
