TCU Announces Addition of White

Hawaii native joins the Horned Frogs

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's golf program, set to make its 18th-consecutive NCAA postseason appearance, has announced the signing of Alex White to a National Letter of Intent.

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, White is a four-time champion at American Junior Golf Association tournaments. She also captured eight titles at AJGA qualifiers and four championships on the Golfweek Junior Tour.

"We are so excited to sign Alex and have her join our Horned Frog family," TCU women's golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "Alex is the whole package! She is a committed, talented, team player and hard worker who is passionate about winning and helping us be a national championship program.

"I love her outlook on life and the goals and vision she has set for herself. Alex will be a tremendous asset to TCU and our women's golf program."

The 2012 Texas Junior Master's Champion, with a low score of 65, White won both of her AJGA qualifier tournaments that season.

In 2011, White was the AJGA Northern Virginia Junior Champion with an even-par 216, defeating golfers from 21 states, Thailand, the United Kingdom and Mexico. She was also the Aaron's/Bob Estes Abilene Junior Champion. She posted a total of three top-10 finishes in AJGA Open tournaments and carded a career-low 64 on the 2011 Golfweek Junior Tour.

White was named to the 2010 AJGA Junior All-Star team as she recorded three top-10 finishes, including winning the AJGA Junior All-Star tournament at Penn State.

This girl can play and shod be a good addition. Her family is military so not sure how accurate the article is in saying she is a "native" of Hawaii. I am pretty sure they have moved around and just happen to be there the last few years
