GoFrogs: Two Divers Set to Compete on Platform at NCAA Championships

FORT WORTH – Alec Hubbard and Elliott Dillon are headed to Indianapolis, Ind. to compete in the platform diving event at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, March 30 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Hubbard and Dillon qualified for the NCAA Championships after their performances at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. Hubbard finished in third place during the finals with a combined score of 728.25 while Dillon finished in seventh with a combined score of 646.65.

Hubbard is on his way to his third NCAA Championships after a year full of successes. The junior is the current platform school record holder with a score of 409.25. The North Carolina native earned that score at the 2024 Big 12 Championships where he finished in second place and qualified for the Olympic Trials. He previously held the school record of 391.05 that was set at the 2023 Big 12 Championships.

Hubbard was a freshman in his first appearance at the Championships where he competed on the platform and placed 37th overall. As a sophomore he placed 22nd in the event.

Dillon qualified for his first NCAA Championships following a stellar year on the tower. The freshman set a new career high in the event at the 2024 Big 12 Championships with a score of 361.05.
