GoFrogs: TCU Wraps Up Day One in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — TCU wrapped up the first day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field.

Joel McFarlane began the decathlon on Wednesday afternoon. He kicked off the day with a 12th-place finish in the 100m (10.88).

He placed 18th in the long jump (6.72m), 19th in the shot put (12.91m) and 23rd in the high jump (1.80m). McFarlane ended the day with a 12th-place 48.51 in the 400m.

McFarlane sits in 20th overall with 3,810 points through the first five events.

Kashie Crockett placed 23rd in the men's 200m with his time of 20.98 to earn Honorable Mention All-America honors.
