TCU Women's Basketball Announces Conference And TV Schedule

The Horned Frogs will play a total of six games on national television this upcoming season.

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's basketball program announced its 2011-12 Mountain West Conference schedule Wednesday. The Horned Frogs also received word that they will have a total of six nationally televised games during the upcoming season, including five during conference play.

TCU will play on CBS Sports Network four times during the 2011-12 season, while the other two contests are slated on The MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.). The Frogs will open games on CBS Sports Network with a Sunday, Dec. 11 match-up against defending national champion Texas A&M. The home contest against the Aggies is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. CT. TCU's other CBS Sports Network games will consist of Colorado State (Jan. 14 and Feb. 11) and San Diego State (Feb. 4). Tip-off times for those games have yet to be determined.

Games selected to be broadcast by The Mtn. include an away contest on Jan. 10 against San Diego State (7:00 p.m. PT) and the season finale at home versus Wyoming (6:30 p.m. CT) on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Game times for all of TCU games not selected for television have yet to be determined and will be released at a later date.

The Horned Frogs begin conference play on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at San Diego State. Next, TCU will return home for two-straight games at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum against Colorado State on Saturday, Jan. 14 and UNLV on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Following back-to-back road games with stops at Boise State on Saturday, Jan. 21 and Air Force on Wednesday, Jan. 25, TCU will close the month of January hosting New Mexico on Jan. 28.

The Frogs will open the month of February at Wyoming on Feb. 1 and then return home to face the Aztecs on Feb. 4. TCU will hit the road once again for its second trip of back-to-back road games during the conference slate with contests against CSU on Feb. 11 and at UNLV on Feb. 15.

The Purple and White will play three of its final four games at home, hosting Boise State on Feb. 18, and then Air Force on Wednesday, Feb. 22. After visiting New Mexico on Feb. 25, TCU will play its regular season finale against Wyoming on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the DMC.

Combined with a tough non-conference schedule that features potentially seven opponents who reached a postseason tournament, including a possibility of six who made the NCAA Tournament during the 2010-11 season, the Horned Frogs will once again play one of the toughest schedules in the nation.

TCU returns six letterwinners and three players with at least 23 starts from this past season's team that finished second overall in the Mountain West Conference and advanced to postseason play for the 11th time in 12 years.
